This is a colored pencil endeavor from tuseday when my film class was cancelled
*happy dance*

These are 'the Horseman of Air and the Warrior of Earth': Aoshi and Mataris
Aoshi is the leader of this special division of men who command lesser elements and amazing fighting abilites. Mataris is the woman who is the military leader of an Amazon-esq tribe. Here she decked out in armor and a sword, which is rare because she favors a bow. anyway, these two fall in love and that's why they're drawn together....
from this story I am and probably will eternally be teasing myself with.
It's very hard to write stories... especially when you come up with a new character for it every other time you get inspiration to write.

I'm not sure why I did this. I haven't drawn these charcters in about a year and I haven't drawn in anime style for just as long.
It took my a while because Mataris' armor I was designing cold-turkey and i had to think about where I wanted the engraved swirlies to go and just what exactly they should look like. Coloring took maybe an hour or a little more. I'm very pleased with it and it allowed me to calm down.... i haven't drawn and colored something in quite a while.
